Exceptions to Full Bi-Weekly Pay Period Requirement

Generally, if you are a full-time employee you must work the full biweekly pay period to earn leave. There are some exceptions:

  • If you transfer between positions with different pay periods (biweekly, monthly, etc.)
  • If your continuity of employment is interrupted by a non-leave-earning period and you will return to a leave earning status
  • If you enter on duty on the first workday following a holiday which falls on the first workday of the pay period
  • If a transfer occurs during the pay period
