DOC’s Learning and Development Strategy 

The Office of Human Resource Management (OHRM) in partnership with its Office of Learning and Development developed the 2024-2026 Learning and Development Strategy. This document is an addendum to and in alignment with OHRM's Human Capital Strategic Plan, and outlines efforts to upskill our employees’ capabilities, develop our next generation of leaders, and advance professional develop opportunities to our workforce to better prepare them to serve the needs of the American people. 

Opportunities at Commerce

As an employee of the Department of Commerce there are a variety of options for learning and development activities. Each of the Bureaus have training options available, whether it is in the form of web based and/or instructor lead.  The links below provide you with information on Federal Mandated Training, the list of the Bureau Chief Learning Officers (CLOs), and Commerce Learning Center (CLC) points of contact within the Department.

The CLC gives employees a great opportunity to challenge their knowledge, gain new skills, and develop their career. Maximize your training opportunities through online courses and other learning resources.
