Unusual Work Schedules

If you are assigned to a 72-hour workweek and receiving pay under 5 U.S.C. 5545 (c)(1), you earn sick leave at the rate of:

  • 7 hours for the first 25 pay periods, and
  • 12 hours for the last pay period (#26) of each leave year. 

If you are assigned to a 56-hour workweek and receiving pay under 5 U.S.C. 5545 (c)(1), you earn sick leave at the rate of:

  • 5 hours for the first 25 pay periods, and
  • 21 hours for the last pay period (#26) of each leave year.
