HCHB Parking

Onsite parking at the Herbert C. Hoover Building (HCHB) is limited and falls into three categories: permanent, one-time parking pass, and loading dock access.

Permanent Parking:  Each operating unit receives a small allocation of permanent parking spaces at HCHB that they assign to designated employees. Each designated employee is required to complete a parking application, acknowledging receipt of the taxable benefit. provided by the bureau/office Parking POC.  The Parking POC will submit all applications to the Parking Coordinator at [email protected]. The Parking Coordinator will issue the employee a parking hangtag for the assigned courtyard where they will park. The employee must display the hangtag in the vehicle when parking at HCHB.

One-Time Parking Pass Requests: A limited number of one-time parking passes are available to accommodate special circumstances. Requests for one-time parking passes must be submitted by the operating unit’s Parking POC to [email protected]. The request must include a justification explaining why parking is needed. If the one-time parking pass request is for an HCHB employee, their supervisor must approve the request before it is reviewed by the parking office. One-time parking pass requests should be submitted at least 24 hours prior to the requested date to ensure there is adequate time for processing. If the one-time parking pass request is for an external visitor, please also include the visitor’s name, vehicle make and model, license plate number and state, as well as the name of the DOC employee who will meet and escort the visitor into HCHB.

Loading Dock Access: To schedule/request usage of the HCHB Loading dock please submit your request to [email protected] with the following information:

  • Bureau/Operating Unit
  • Date
  • Delivery timeframe
  • Purpose
  • Government escort’s name
