The Office of Sustainable Energy and Environmental Programs (OSEEP) works to establish, promote, and incentivize a culture of sustainability across the Department to maintain sustainable, efficient, high-performing, cost-effective, and environmentally compliant operations and facilities that allow the Department and its Operating Units to meet their missions. OSEEP provides Department-wide policy, guidance, and procedures aligned with Federal statutes, Executive Orders, and other applicable regulations for sustainability; climate adaptation and resilience; energy, water, and waste reduction; clean and renewable energy; sustainable buildings; environmental compliance; and more. OSEEP also coordinates training sessions to foster a climate literate workforce at the Department and provides recognition opportunities for outstanding performance in meeting the Department’s sustainability, energy and water reduction, clean energy, climate change adaptation, resilience, and environmental performance goals.
