Now Released: 2022 Best Places to Work in The Federal Government

Department of Commerce Ranked 4th in Best Places to Work Amongst Large Agencies

The Partnership for Public Service and Boston Consulting Group joined the Washington Post to release the 2022 Best Places to Work in the Federal Government rankings: Top 10 edition. It is our pleasure to announce that the Department of Commerce ranked the 4th Best Place to Work in the Federal Government, among large agencies. With this ranking, we now remain in the Top 5 for 11 consecutive years. These rankings are based on the feedback you provide to the annual organizational climate survey, the Federal Employee Viewpoint Survey (FEVS), that assesses how employees across the federal government experience the policies, practices, and procedures of their agency and its leadership.

Our ranking is possible because of the dedication and hard work you have all given to our shared mission, and to each other – a reflection of our shared Core Values. We are profoundly proud to be a part of and represent the Department of Commerce community. This past year was an important one for us, as we sought to Strengthen American Competitiveness in the 21st Century, as outlined in our 2022 – 2026 Strategic Plan.

Year after year, your feedback is extremely valuable and has allowed Commerce leaders to make more informed decisions on what we work on, how we do that work, and how we work as a team. Examples of actions taken throughout the Department in response to your feedback can be found on the Department’s FEVS website. We encourage you to participate in the upcoming 2023 FEVS, launching this May. Additional details will be provided closer to the launch date. We look forward to hearing from you on where we continue to lead as an agency, and what we can continue doing to make Commerce one of the best places to work.

Thank you all, and congratulations on another great year.
