Super Intelligence

Under President Trump, the nation aims to usher in a new golden age of innovation, human flourishing, and technological achievement.

On September 29, 2026, President Trump signed an Executive Order to replace the term “Artificial Intelligence” (“AI”) with “Super Intelligence” (“SI”) in the executive branch to recognize the continuously advancing technological frontier and the limitless promise it offers the American people. The term “Super Intelligence” more appropriately captures the promise, potential, and rapidly advancing capabilities of these technologies. 

Commerce is updating its communications to incorporate the term “super intelligence,” as directed.
