Badging Program

The Badging Program at the Department of Commerce is for anyone involved in the acquisition process - no matter your job title or career path. Anyone who has been involved in an innovative technique and who meets requirements may apply for a badge. 

How does the Badging Program work?

• Open to all DOC employees
• Submit an Application to TheLab@doc.gov 
• The Lab team will verify the information and issue a badge
• Badge levels build upon each other
• In accordance with CAM 1301.670 Appendix C, some knowledge-sharing activities may qualify for CLPs
