Today, Commerce Deputy Secretary Don Graves met with Norway’s Minister of Trade and Industry Jan Christian Vestre to discuss the U.S.-Norway commercial relationship. The Deputy Secretary thanked Minister Vestre for the longstanding and productive dialogue between Commerce and Norway on commercial issues through the Informal Commercial Exchange (ICE) talks. Graves expressed interest in formalizing, strengthening, and refocusing this dialogue on green industry cooperation and supply chain resilience and encouraged more joint discussions with industry stakeholders. Deputy Secretary Graves also highlighted Norwegian investments into the United States in clean energy sectors and welcomed Minister Vestre’s input on ways to further collaborate.
