Today U.S. Deputy Secretary of Commerce Don Graves met with Slovak Minister of Economy Karel Hirman at the Partnership for Transatlantic Energy and Climate Cooperation (P-TECC) Ministerial. During their meeting, the two discussed key U.S.-Slovakia trade and investment ties including potential collaboration to help Slovakia diversify its energy mix and expand its clean energy activities. Deputy Secretary Graves and Minister Hirman signed an updated Joint Declaration on behalf of the U.S. Department of Commerce and the Ministry of Economy of the Slovak Republic concerning Industrial and Commercial Cooperation in the Energy Sector, which will assist in expanding bilateral trade and cooperation in the areas of civil nuclear energy, liquefied natural gas, hydrogen, and more.
