Today, Deputy Secretary Don Graves met virtually with Kazakhstan’s Minister of Trade and Integration, Bakhyt Sultanov, to discuss a working dialogue to promote bilateral trade and commerce as well as understanding between both countries, as Kazakhstan is the U.S.’s largest trading partner in Central Asia. The two officials discussed opportunities for growth in the industries of agribusiness, mining, technology and infrastructure.

Additionally, on behalf of Commerce Secretary Gina Raimondo, Deputy Secretary Graves conveyed that the Department looks forward to working with the Kazakhstani government and industry leaders to expand bilateral economic opportunities, and congratulated officials on the 30th anniversary of Kazakhstan’s independence.
