Facility Safety

Session 6: Facility Safety

The month of August will focus on Facility Safety within HCHB in order to create a more safe and inclusive workplace.    


Meeting Details

Where: Virtual, Microsoft Teams Meeting

When: Tuesday, August 20, 2024, at 12:00p.m. – 1:00p.m. EST 

Join the Office of Facilities and Environmental Quality (OFEQ) Team, for August’s lunch-and-learn on facility safety as it pertains to a safe and inclusive workplace.  Employees and leaders will learn about what the facilities team does to create a safe building environment and mitigate any potential hazards within the historic Herbert C. Hoover Building.   

The presentation and discussion will be led by Kirk Nelson (Director, OSBM), with technical expertise provided by: 

  1. Ron Castillo (Lead Architect) discussing the Americans with Disabilities Act and Architectural Barriers Act. 

  1. Tony Kesslak (Certified Industrial Hygienist) discussing environmental hazards with water and air quality. 

  1. Jazz Nash (Occupational Safety and Health Manager) discussing safety standards.
