The Office of Civil Rights (OCR), in partnership with the Federally Employed Women (FEW) Women of Commerce (WOC) Chapter, is proud to join the nation in commemorating Women’s Equality Day. Held every year on August 26th, Women’s Equality Day commemorates the 1920 ratification of the 19th Amendment to the U.S. constitution, which granted women the right to vote. The day also calls attention to women’s continuing efforts toward full equality.
