Physical Safety, Insider Risk

Session 4: Risk Mitigation at the Workplace 

The focus for June is Risk Mitigation and Physical Safety. 

OCR has partnered with the Office of Security (OSY) to provide this session in conjunction with OSY’s Security Awareness Forum & Education (SAFE) event—a two-day event that seeks to provide a variety of workshops on topics that suit multiple interests and levels of responsibilities. This event is designed to increase both your security awareness and education in an effort to help protect yourself and the Department of Commerce.  For more information about SAFE, please visit the event website.

When: Thursday, June 6, 2024, at 10am ET 

Mike Harman, the Office of Security, Director of Client Security Services, will lead attendees through an overview of how the Office of Security and other federal security and law enforcement programs keep DOC safe and secure in the workplace. This presentation will focus on how to decrease everyday risks while at work, in addition to creating and sustaining safe workspaces free of harmful behaviors, interventions and reporting, and how “Security is Everyone’s Responsibility.”
