Paige Herwig has served as Deputy General Counsel for the U.S. Department of Commerce since June 2023. Prior to joining the Department of Commerce, Ms. Herwig served in the White House Counsel’s Office as Senior Counsel and Special Assistant to the President. She has previously served as Deputy General Counsel for the Biden-Harris Transition Team; Deputy General Counsel of the Senate Judiciary Committee (Minority Staff); Counselor to the Attorney General of the United States; and Chief Counsel to U.S. Senator Amy Klobuchar.
She clerked for the Honorable Harry T. Edwards of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit. She is a graduate of Yale University and Yale Law School.
