Attorneys in the Office of Chief Counsel for Industry and Security (“OCC/IS”) provide a broad spectrum of legal services in support of the Bureau of Industry and Security’s mission “to advance U.S. national security, foreign policy, and economic objectives by ensuring an effective export control and treaty compliance system and by promoting continued U.S. strategic technology leadership.”
OCC/IS’s work for the Bureau of Industry and Security (“BIS”) falls primarily within three broad areas: Enforcement and Litigation; Licensing and Programs; Training and Technical Assistance Programs.
