Revocation of Department Administrative Order (DAO) 208-3, "Major System Acquisitions for the Department of Commerce," dated December 9, 1997.

STATEMENT OF THE ISSUE

On November 2012, the Policy on Commerce Acquisition Project Management was published.

It established a new acquisition framework for the Department, revised the definition of what constitutes a "major system" (now termed "high-profile") in the Department. Since this policy supersedes the DAO, the DAO is no longer needed.
