COPYING EQUIPMENT

Number:

DAO 206-6

Effective Date:

2016-09-08

SUBJECT

Revocation of Department Administrative Order (DAO) 206-6, "Copying Equipment," dated July 2, 1993. The Order prescribed standards and guidelines for the management of copying equipment throughout the Department.

STATEMENT OF THE ISSUE

In 1995, the Department abolished the centralized copy management program and Operating Units were given responsibility for management and acquisition of copying equipment. Authority to authorize exceptions for replacement standards for office machines, furniture, furnishings and other related equipment is delegated to Heads of Operating Units as stated in the Department Personal Property Management Manual, Chapter 1.103 dated October 2007. Additionally, the new Department Enterprise Services initiative, Managed Print Services for DOC 21st Century Workspace (Program B951-M, Umbrella Contract, Managed Print Services), provides a Department-wide contract vehicle to manage copy, print and scanning requirements. Therefore, this DAO is no longer needed.
