Aditi Palli serves as the Chief of Staff for the Chief Information Officer (CIO) of the U.S. Department of Commerce, providing authoritative advice to the CIO on the development of strategies for the design, use, analysis, and support of Information Technology throughout Commerce and its 13 bureaus.

Prior to serving as the Chief of Staff for the Department, Aditi held a variety of positions at the International Trade Administration (ITA), a Bureau of Commerce. This included establishing, implementing, and spearheading ITA’s first Business Relationship Management program, where she led complex, mission critical efforts to modernize applications and maximize the value of IT platforms. Aditi also held roles in each of ITA’s business units, working in trade compliance, export promotion, and strategic management, planning and process improvement initiatives.

Aditi is the recipient of the ITA Office of the Deputy Under Secretary, Silver Medal on Organizational Development, for work on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. She is a graduate of the University of Virginia (BA) and George Mason University (MPP). She also successfully graduated from the Partnership for Public Service’s Excellence in Government Fellows program and Harvard Kennedy School’s Executive Education program on Leadership in Emerging Technology: Security, Strategy and Risk.
