The Office of Public Affairs is the primary point of contact for news media, organizations and the general public seeking information about Department of Commerce's programs, policies, procedures, statistics, research and services. The Office assists the Secretary on all public affairs and strategic communications matters and serves as a liaison with the White House and Executive Branch agencies on public information matters. Primary responsibilities include preparing communications strategies, media relations, publications review and photographic services.
